They defeated 3-1 in the final another English team, Liverpool, coming back after Steve Gerrard's penalty kick in the 14th minute. In the second half, Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard scored the three goals that permitted the Red Devils to win the Cup.
Wayne Rooney was crowned Man of the Tournament.
The worst teams were two Italian clubs, Roma and AC Milan, with 1 and 0 points respectively.
