Will Italy be able to overcome England in the UEFA ranking?

For the first time since 2011/2012, Italy has an actual chance to overcome England in official UEFA ranking, getting 4 clubs in Champions League, instead of only 3.

The 2015/2016 started with England ahead of 3,095 points (62,034 against 58,939).
Until now, after the third qualifying round, the situation is the following:

• Sampdoria brought 0,167 points to Italy (they were eliminated)
• West Ham brought 0,437 points to England (they were eliminated)
• Southampton brought 0,250 points to England (they are still in the Europa League)

So, England gained another 0,52 points in the ranking, and Italian clubs have to gain at least 3,615 points more than English ones from here until the end of the season. If we already consider the teams that will gain direct access to the Champions League's Group Stage (3 for England and 2 for Italy), England gains another 0,167 points, bringing the total difference to 3,782.

If this season Italy won't manage to overcome England, in the next season the chance will be bigger: the results of 2011/2012 will be dropped from the ranking, and since in that season England gained 3,893 points more than Italy, Italian clubs will start with 0,111 points more than the English ones (3,893-3,782).

Per la prima volta dal 2011/2012 l'Italia ha una vera possibilità di superare l'Inghilterra nel ranking UEFA, sorpasso che consentirebbe di avere 3 squadre in Champions League anziché solo 3.

La stagione 2015/2016 è iniziata con l'Inghilterra avanti di 3,095 punti (62,034 contro 58,939).
Fino ad ora, dopo il terzo turno preliminare, la situazione è la seguente:

Se in questa stagione l'Italia non riuscirà ad eseguire il sorpasso, in quella prossima l'occasione sarà ancora più grande: i risultati del 2011/2012 saranno scartati dal ranking, e dato che in quella stagione l'Inghilterra guadagnò 3,893 punti più dell'Italia, le squadre italiane inizieranno con 0,111 punti in più di quelle inglesi (3,893-3,782).
